Reading Intervention
These reading intervention classes are designed for students who need additional instruction to make progress toward grade level reading.
READING INTERVENTION CLASS OPTIONS
June 12 – July 27 (No classes week of July 4)
OPTION 1: 1 Day / Week Wednesdays (6 classes; 9 hours) **
Single summer session that will provide 1.5-hour classes for children on Wednesday afternoons

INDIVDUAL INSTRUCTION: Master Teacher $300 or Grad Student $225 or Undergraduate Student $175
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION* [Possible if enough children at the same level want to enroll; 2- 4 children]
Master Teacher $200 or Grad Student $150

OPTION 2: 2 Days / Week Tuesdays & Thursdays (12 classes; 18 hours)**
Single summer session that will provide 1.5-hour classes for children on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons

INDIVDUAL INSTRUCTION: Master Teacher $600 or Grad Student $450 or Undergraduate Student $350
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION* [Possible if enough children at the same level want to enroll; 2- 4 children]
Master Teacher $350 or Grad Student $250

OPTION 3: 3 Days / Week Tuesdays & Wednesdays & Thursdays (18 classes; 27 hours)**
Single summer session that will provide 1.5-hour classes for children on Tues & Wed & Thurs afternoons

INDIVDUAL INSTRUCTION: Master Teacher $900 or Grad Student $675
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION* [Possible if enough children at the same level want to enroll; 2- 4 children]
Master Teacher $500 or Grad Student $375

*Partial scholarships for small group instruction made available by a generous donor.
**Make up classes can only be provided if weather or instructor cancels class.
In addition to the registration fees for the program, the Ryzer system will assess a system fee of 5% of the registration cost (minimum of $4) plus a UA administration fee of $10 per participant. This administration fee is to cover the cost of background screenings for UA-sponsored program staff.
Master Teachers – UA Faculty Dyslexia Therapist in training or CALT certified (certified academic language therapist)
Graduate Students – Certified teachers with reading intervention training
Undergraduate Students – Teacher education students with reading intervention methods coursework
