2025 Summer Reading Intervention

Space is limited with all levels of instructor.

INTENSIVE READING INSTRUCTION
We provide reading intervention classes designed for elementary school children (entering grades K-6) who need intensive instruction in reading due to characteristics of dyslexia and dyslexia. Teachers will use a structured literacy approach with dyslexia-specific intervention methods and materials including SPIRE and Basic Language Skills.  If space allows, we can place students who need additional support but not intensive intervention with undergraduate students as space allows.

THERAPISTS AND INSTRUCTORS
Therapists – Faculty with PhDs in reading education and CALT certified (certified academic language therapist)
Master Teachers – Faculty and Certified Teacher Dyslexia Therapists in training or CALP certified (certified academic language practitioners)
Graduate Students – Certified teachers with reading intervention training 
Undergraduate Students – Teacher education students with reading intervention methods coursework

If times are available that fit your schedule, you will be provided a link to the registration site.

Make up classes can only be provided if weather or instructor cancels class. 
In addition to the registration fees for the program, the Ryzer system will assess a system fee of 5% of the registration cost (minimum of $4) plus a UA administration fee of $10 per participant. This administration fee is to cover the cost of background screenings for UA-sponsored program staff.
